The Greater Philly Christian Writers Fellowship (CWF) exists to help you respond to God's call to write. We want to come alongside to encourage and equip you to get your work in print. We are a Christ-centered fellowship with a strong emphasis on prayer and Bible study, but also on learning the craft of writing and marketing. We want to help you become an effective communicator of God's truth in both Christian and secular markets. Together we really can make a difference!
Marlene Bagnull founded GPCWF in 1983 with a small group of Christian writers drawn by announcements they read in the newspaper. Since then we have met monthly (except in the summer) and our first day-long seminar in 1983 with one speaker grew to a three and a half day conference with a faculty of 50 - 60 authors, editors, agents, and publicists. I've often said that if I knew what God had planned I would have told Him, "I'm not qualified," and run the other way. But I'm so grateful I didn't. He really is able to do "exceedingly, abundantly beyond" (Eph. 3:20).
The July 26-29, 2017, GPCWC was our 34th and last conference but NOT the end of the Write His Answer ministry. I expect even more Kingdom fruit will result from the new one and two-day Write His Answer events.
Exciting News! - Thank You, Father, for the vision for a new 2.5 day conference and providing a new location just off the Lansdale exit of the PA Turnpike. The conference will be held on the beautiful campus of Dock Mennonite Academy. Rooms are available at the Holiday Inn for the special rate of $109 a night for up to four people in the room. Thursday will feature afternoon Learning Labs and an evening keynote. Friday and Saturday we’ll have six continuing sessions and 24 workshops in addition to keynotes, panels, and one-on-one appointments. I anticipate a faculty of around 30 agents, editors, and authors and a much lower registration fee.
The Colorado Christian Writers Conference will continue in the mega-conference format. Pray about joining us May 16-19, 2018, and bringing your family. The YMCA Estes Park Center has cabins for rent and is on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. I can’t think of a better place to vacation.
Two critique groups continue to meet in my Lansdale home. Click here for info on the monthly morning group. Click here for info on the bi-weekly evening group. Sorry guys. Right now both groups are women only.
