In addition to the
four free 15-minute appointments you
receive (if you register for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), I want to encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to have
your work reviewed by the seasoned professional(s) of your choice (see below).
Your critiquer will receive your manuscript pre-conference in order to
review it before he or she meets with you for 30 minutes at the
conference.
There is a charge of $35 for each critique,
payable when you register. Since a
limited number of consultations are available, we encourage you to
register early to reserve your space so you will not be disappointed.
Your manuscript needs to be
postmarked by April 17 and sent to CCWC Paid Critiques, 3605 West 94th
Avenue, Westminster, CO 80031-3156. Please include the transmittal form
you will receive as part of your acknowledgment packet
when you register.
If you are
requesting a critique with
Craig Bubeck
or
Sandra Bishop, you will need to submit your manuscript
to
marjorie.vawter@gmail.com
in Word or RTF. Deadline April 23.
Double space your manuscript leaving at least a 1"
margin for comments from your critiquer. Limit 12 pages unless otherwise
noted. Please do not exceed the requested page count.
My paid manuscript review gave me the most thorough
and helpful manuscript review
I've had to date.

Photo shoot with Jodie
Westfall.
Are you using an
out-of-date photograph?
- If you're like
most writers, you HATE having your picture taken and may be using one on your Web site
or in your PR literature that is very old. Jodie Westfall,
a professional photographer from Texas, is coming to CCWC and is available
to spend 15 minutes with YOU. After taking a few minutes to get to know you
and what you need photos for, she will begin snapping pictures and
give you a CD (copyright free) of all the photos she takes of you. The cost
for this session is only $50, payable to Jodie.
Jodie's work is excellent, and the price is a bargain
especially since you will own the photos and will be able to use them
without a copyright notice. You can find out more about Jodie at
www.jodiewwestfallphotography.com. To make an appointment, email
wandadyson@aol.com. Please let
Wanda
know the days you will be at the conference and whether or not you are in a
clinic. After you have registered for the conference and contacted Wanda for an
appointment with Jodie, you will receive a Pay Pal invoice from Jodie. If you
pay pre-conference, the price is $45 instead of $50.
