Marlene Bagnull
Conference Director
Publisher and Editor
Ampelos Press

http://www.writehisanswer.com/ampelos_press.htm

Marlene is the director of the Colorado and the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writers Conferences and publisher/editor, Ampelos Pressa small subsidy house that helps Christians self-publish affordably yet professionally. She has over 1,000 sales to Christian periodicals and is the author of five books including Write His Answer - A Bible Study for Christian Writers and the compiler/editor of three books. She is in the process of acquiring manuscripts for a new compilation (too long on hold), tentatively titled, Train Up a Child - Devotional Thoughts for Parents.

Editorial Needs - Ampelos Press publishes only several titles a year. I am especially interested in helping authors self-publish books about missions and the needs of children such as Karleen Dewey's The Place of the Mourning Doves - Reaching Out to Romanian Orphans and Benard's Vision - The Quest of a Kenyan Pastor.

    Stephen T. Barclift

Steve has been involved in the Christian publishing industry for twenty-five years. He was the founding managing editor of Christian Parenting Today magazine before accepting a book-editing position with Questar (Multnomah) Publishers in 1989 (Multnomah is now part of WaterBrook Multnomah, a division of Random House). He was a senior editor with Questar/Multnomah for several years. Steve has been managing editor at Kregel Publications since 1997.
The author of children's books, Steve received a Gold Medallion Award for The Beginner's Devotional in 1992. Beginning with God, an updated edition of The Beginner's Devotional, was released in 2004 by Kregel Publications.
Steve and his family live near Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Editorial Needs - Kregel Publications provides trusted, biblically sound books that challenge and encourage individuals in their Christian lives. We are looking for new material in the areas of family and marriage, parenting, contemporary issues, inspirational and devotional books, pastoral ministry, Bible study, theology, and fiction (primarily YA and adult). Steve personally appreciates the power of a compelling story, whether in fiction or nonfiction. We are not acquiring children's picture books at this time.

    Jeff Dunn
Publisher, Electric Moon Publishing
http://www.emoonpublishing.com/

Jeff has nearly 37 years experience in publishing and broadcasting, which just means he is rather old. Jeff has spent time chained to a desk as an editor, in a dark cave as a writer, and in the jungle as a literary agent. Now Jeff has settled down to the relatively easy job of publisher. He is the founder of Electric Moon Publishing, which started as a publisher of eBooks but quickly expanded into a company that does, well, just about everything you can imagine. (They can even provide a clown for your next birthday party! Ok, not really. Jeff made me put this in.)
Jeff still lives--by choice--in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He drinks too much coffee and continues to cheer for losing teams from Cincinnati. Ask him about the best restaurant in Estes Park--he knows what it is!

Workshop - Exciting World of eBooks (1E)
Paid Critiques - Fiction and nonfiction book proposals, fantasy
Editorial Needs -
Looking for new, fresh voices in fiction and non-fiction, as well as established authors who want to branch out into areas their print publisher is, perhaps, a little reluctant to explore. We want stories that make it hard to stop reading. We want insights into scriptures that make our hearts feel strangely warm.

Hope’s latest novel, I’ll Cross the River, was released in English in May 2008 and released in Dutch and Korean in 2009. I’ll Cross the River is based on factual stories of starving North Korean citizens who are desperately seeking food and freedom by crossing the Tumen River to escape into China. Presently, Hope is the senior editor for HigherLife Publishing. HigherLife provides authors three choices: to co-publish, publish on demand, or apply for literary management. The weird stuff. Jeff's The Art & Craft of Writing Christian Fiction has become a conference favorite across the country. His new fiction craft book from Writer's Digest Books, Plot vs. Character, releases in October of this year. He and his wife of 20 years live in Colorado Springs with their daughter and son and a special needs baby girl from China who they adopted.

Cladach acquires and publishes 2-3 titles per year on a royalty basis. As a small publisher (with a staff of 4) we're willing to try books that don't "fit the mold." We are considering queries/proposals with sample chapters and marketing plans for fiction (most genres) and nonfiction (topics and experiences that show Creator/Redeemer God actively working in this world and that help readers experience His presence and power).
