Encouraging and equipping you to write about a God who
is real,
who is reachable, and who changes lives!
From circus
girl to quadriplegic to committed Christian, Vickie’s testimony inspired
many. I had the privilege of critiquing and editing Vickie's first book,
Surprised by Hope, and presenting it to numerous editors on
her behalf at Christian writers conferences. Finally, it was accepted and
published by Christian Publications in 2000. It reads like a page-turning
novel because Vickie worked hard at the craft of writing and didn't give up.
The journey to
publication even of an accepted manuscript can be very slow, and so because
Vickie wanted to be able to share her story with family and friends, she
self-publishedOn Wings of Joy- Reflections of a Quadriplegic Trapeze
Artist. It was released in November 1999 by
Ampelos Press.
This book of personal experience stories and poetry closes with an
invitation to accept Jesus Christ.
Vickie went home to the Lord
October 13, 2003.
