What is the working title, genre, and 10-word premise of your novel?

Have you completed writing any full-length fiction manuscripts? Describe it (or 2-3 of them) in 50 words each. If you haven't completed any, explain why not and briefly describe any novels you're in the process of writing.

How have you shown a commitment to improving your fiction craftsmanship? If someone were trying to build a case that you're a committed Christian novelist, what evidence would be found?

What do you hope to gain from this clinic?

Every member of this clinic must agree to read the 10 pages provided by every other member of the clinic and to come prepared to exchange ideas about them. Further, every member of the clinic must agree to read the revised versions of these pages from every student (that means homework while you're at the conference). Finally, every member of this clinic must agree to rewrite/revise his or her 10 pages according to feedback given in the clinic and to do so quickly enough that they may be read again during the conference (more homework). Discuss why you are or are not prepared to make this kind of commitment.

To complete your application,
you will need to email the following to mbagnull@aol.com no later than April 10. Please note "Bob Liparulo Fiction Intensive - your name" in your subject line and attach the following as one Word document or RTF file:

1. A  500-word synopsis of your novel.

2. The first 10 (double-spaced) pages of your novel.

Remember, applicants will be selected based on the answers given here, the quality of the fiction in the 10 pages, and your attention to the instructions given above. The sample you submit as part of your application will be the selection critiqued during the clinic, so choose carefully and make it your best work.

Keep in mind that clinic participants will need to be able to edit, revise, and even rewrite the sample pages while at the conference. If you don't have a laptop already you might consider borrowing one for the conference if you are selected for this clinic.

Click "Submit" below NO LATER THAN APRIL 10. If you do not receive an acknowledgment in several minutes, please try again or email mbagnull@aol.com.
